“What Art Thou?” gallery Installation hopes to answer the question!
Using art on loan from Sanctuary’s members and friends, this month’s installation invites us to explore how the art to which we are drawn – inspires us, informs us, changes us and expresses our very ‘being’. All are invited to bring a piece of art from home – one’s own work or the work of another – as long as it inspires you!
The work needs to be wired for hanging (or fit on one of our horizontal surfaces); and you should be available to participate in ARTchurch on Sunday, January 14 @ 10 am and/or Gallery Reception and Reflections, Friday, January 19 @ 7 pm.
The Art Gallery Team plans programs and activities associated with the Sanctuary Art Gallery, including receptions and reflections with the artist and other art programs. All are welcome.
Participants will be guided with clear instruction in gentle yoga-based exercise and breath focused meditation, using chairs for comfort and support. Emphasis will be given on cultivating relaxation and concentration, as well as maximizing circulation, joint mobility, immunity and bone strength. No previous experience with yoga is required.
Our teacher – West Medford’s yogi Judy Scribner-Moore – brings more than 30 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation to students of diverse ages, abilities and backgrounds.
