This landmark film in concert follows three acclaimed Muslim comedians on stage and off as they present their comedy show throughout the country and share the humorous truth of what it’s like to be Muslim in America. Comedians Mo Amer, Azhar Usman, and Preacher Moss poke fun at themselves, their communities, and human nature – inviting the audience to connect with their experiences of living in post-9/11 America.

This screening and discussion is being presented by the www.MedfordFilm.org Collaborative in conjunction with the www.MedfordConversations.org Project, www.SanctuaryUCC.org Faith and Film Program, www.CommunityRelations.Tufts.edu, Medford High’s Arabic Club and Tuft University ‘s Interfaith Center, as part of a four film series on Race and Ethnicity in Medford and Beyond. Each film will be followed by a facilitated discussion.

The Art Gallery Team plans programs and activities associated with the Sanctuary Art Gallery, including receptions and reflections with the artist and other art programs. All are welcome.
Participants will be guided with clear instruction in gentle yoga-based exercise and breath focused meditation, using chairs for comfort and support. Emphasis will be given on cultivating relaxation and concentration, as well as maximizing circulation, joint mobility, immunity and bone strength. No previous experience with yoga is required.
Our teacher – West Medford’s yogi Judy Scribner-Moore – brings more than 30 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation to students of diverse ages, abilities and backgrounds.
This Series Runs: 9/6 through 10/25 — 8 classes @ $20 = $160 tuition.
