DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we raise the flag and clelebrate Juneteenth on Wednesday June 18th\, 4pm – 6:30pm at Medford City Hall. Bring your dancing shoes and share a meal with old and new friends. Musical segment produced by Down By Riverside ft. Willie J. Laws band and catering provided by Work Hard Eat Good. \nThis event is free and all are welcome. This event is also made possible with generous support from the MVP Medford Connects grant. ASL interpreter services have been requested. Feel free to share the flier with others. \n\nThe program will include a keynote address\, poetry by the city’s poet laureate\, music\, and food.\nKeynote Speaker: Dr. Joyya Smith\, Vice President for Diversity\, Access and Inclusion at Suffolk University.\nPoetry: Vijaya Sundaram\, the city’s poet laureate.\nMusic: The Glen David Andrews Band.\nFood: Provided by the Neighborhood Kitchen.
