DESCRIPTION:Hillside and Sanctuary join the Medford Interfaith Community and our friends at the Islamic Cultural Center of Medford for this annual Interfaith Iftar.\n“Iftar” is the fast-breaking meal observed each evening at sundown during the holy month of Ramadan.  The Interfaith Iftar Dinner is an opportunity for the whole community to join our Muslim friends for an evening meal as they break their Ramadan fast.  The event includes a traditional Middle Eastern meal\, along with presentations by community peacemakers.\nYou are invited to join in the fast from sunrise to sunset.

You are invited to wear your ashes\, to claim repentance\, grace\, and deep relationship with God for the challenges of your daily life. \n“Ashes to Go” is about bringing spirit\, belief\, and belonging out from behind church doors\, and into the places where we go every day.  It’s a simple event with deep meaning\, drawing on centuries of tradition and worship to provide a contemporary moment of grace. \nWe will bring blessings and ashes to the West Medford neighborhood and any who request delivery. There will be blessings and ashes available at the Sanctuary Storefront during these hours as well.
