Yoga for Healthy Aging with Judy Scribner Moore (Summer – 2019)

Participants will be guided with clear instruction in gentle yoga-based exercise and breath focused meditation, using chairs for comfort and support. Emphasis will be given on cultivating relaxation and concentration, as well as maximizing circulation, joint mobility, immunity and bone strength. No previous experience with yoga is required.

Our teacher – West Medford’s yogi Judy Scribner-Moore – brings more than 30 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation to students of diverse ages, abilities and backgrounds.

This Series Runs: 6/5 – 08/21 (excluding 6/19, 7/10, 7/17, 8/7); $160 for 8 classes; $25/drop-in.

  • July 3, 24 and 31 (no class 7/10 or 7/17)
  • August 14 and 21 (no class 8/7)

Am2pm 2019 – Youth Community Service Summer Program

am2pm is a one-week intensive community service program for high school students. From morning to evening (a.m. to p.m., get it?) for seven days, participants engage their community through a variety of service activities: painting rooms for non-profits, doing neighborhood cleanups, building community garden beds, caring for elders, and more.

About the Collection

The Freedom Through Art Collective is facilitated by Megan Smith and Rachel Corey in Boston, and has been shaped by 26 incarcerated members.

The aim of the collective is to give incarcerated artists a chance to share their work, collaborate with each other, make space for conversation, and financially benefit artists by selling their work.
