DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n \nKurukulla Center and Tibetan Association of Boston are delighted to host a Sakadawa Interfaith Celebration where we will come together in celebration and prayers for world peace and harmony. It is a special occasion where we invite friends from all faiths and backgrounds to join us in prayer and reflection. \nIn the Tibetan Buddhist tradition\, we call the month of the fourth full moon following Tibetan New Year “Sakadawa.” We believe that during Sakadawa the result of all our actions — positive and negative — are greatly increased. Therefore\, it is a time to be especially virtuous and diligent in our activities\, to practice our faith well\, and to benefit others. The full moon of Sakadawa is when the Buddha’s birth\, enlightenment\, and passing are observed. \nThis year we will especially dedicate and pray for those who have died\, become ill\, or have experienced hardship in other ways\, both in the United States and around the world. \nEach year the collection of distinguished guests\, together with those participating by being in attendance\, create an event that inspires hope\, faith\, love\, peace\, and tolerance. The celebration will have a lasting effect in your heart\, providing strength and determination\, to be the change in the world that we want to see.
