Why Social Justice and Awareness?

Sanctuary UCC is an Open and Affirming Church.

This means that we accept every person as God does – regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, or any other intersectional identity. As a community, we take it one step further. We listen to our brothers and sisters, putting in the time to deconstruct our biases on a personal and communal level to create a new space that welcomes everyone. Join us in our journey of fostering self-awareness through art created by our BIPOC and AAPI neighbors.

We listen to learn.
