Sunday Soul Circle: The Blessing That Keeps Walking

This week in Soul Circle, we will sit with the story of Abram and Sarai in Genesis 12:1–9, standing at the edge of everything familiar. God says, “Go,” but does not hand them a map. They leave land, kin, household, history, and the only life they have known, carrying nothing certain except a promise: “I will show you.”

As Sanctuary turns toward the closing of 154 years of mission and ministry, this text meets us with tenderness and truth. It does not ask us to pretend that leaving is easy. It does not rush us past grief. Instead, it invites us to wonder what it means to leave faithfully, to remember without clinging, and to trust that the blessing God has poured through this community is not ending, but being carried forward in us.

Together, we will make space for grief, gratitude, memory, and blessing. We will ask what we are being invited to release, what we are being asked to carry, and how God may still be saying to us, even now: I will show you. Come as you are, with whatever you are holding, and join this small circle of love and care as we listen for the blessing that keeps walking.
