AM2PM 2025 will run from June 26th to July 2nd

ABOUT AM2PM

AM2PM is a one-week, immersive community service program for middle and high school students that combines hands-on service with deep learning and reflection. From morning to evening (a.m. to p.m. – see what we did there?), participants engage in meaningful service projects and thought-provoking conversations with local leaders to explore the “why” behind the work.

Each day pairs direct action with opportunities to dig deeper. Participants might serve meals at a local café, assist at a food pantry, or help with a neighborhood cleanup. They could also spend time removing invasive species, volunteering on a community farm, or collaborating on arts-based projects. Alongside these activities, they’ll meet hunger advocates, climate activists, grassroots organizers, and other changemakers who help them understand the bigger picture and how they can be part of it.

Through AM2PM, students discover that service is more than just meeting a requirement — it’s a way to connect, learn, and make an impact. They’ll leave the week inspired, equipped with new skills, and ready to change their corner of the world.

PROGRAM FAQ

Why is this program called "AM2PM"?

Sanctuary UCC has been running this program for close to 10 years. In its original iteration, students were engaged in acts of community service from morning till night (a.m. to p.m. – get it?) for an entire week. Over the years the program has evolved to include leadership development and time for reflection to equip students to not just serve their communities but to solve problems that their communities face.

When and where does AM2PM take place?

AM2PM’s 2025 summer camp will run from June 26th to July 2rd, 8am to 4pm daily.

Who is eligible to participate in AM2PM?

Rising 6th-graders through 12th-graders are eligible to participate in the am2pm Community Service and Leadership Development Program. While our program is based in Medford, MA, it is open to students from throughout the Commonwealth.

The Peer Mentor role is open to High School students with priority given to am2pm Alum and BIPOC+/LGBTQ+ candidates (Peer Mentor spots are limited).

How much does AM2PM cost?

To be accessible to all students, the cost of AM2PM depends on your ability to pay. We offer full pay, partial pay, and scholarship options; and payments can be made over time.

The full pay option is $700 per student (This amount covers the cost to operate the program).

Our partial pay option allows you to pay as much as you can.

If you are income-eligible (see this chart), our scholarship option can cover the full cost of the AM2PM program.

Why is a church running this program?

Serving our neighbors and making the world a better place is the heart of what we do as a church. Whether you are a person of faith or no faith at all, if you want to join us in this work, we’re glad to have you with us!
