Sunday Soul Circle: From the Same Earth

What Shapes a Soul?

There is something comforting, and perhaps humbling, about remembering that we all begin in the same place. In Genesis, God forms the adam from the adamah: the human from the ground. Before our names, accomplishments, identities, opinions, failures, or divisions, we are earth-creatures, formed from the same soil and given life by the same breath of God.

This Sunday in Sanctuary Soul Circle, we will sit with that ancient image and explore three movements: Adamah, Breath, and Fire. What grounds us? Who and what has shaped our particular lives? What has changed us, strengthened us, or revealed something within us that we did not know was there?

We will make room for the stories our lives carry. Come as you are, whether you feel rooted or restless, tender or strong, newly formed or still unfinished. Together, we will remember that we come from the same earth, carry the breath of God, and remain held in the patient work of grace.
