Sunday Soul Circle: 🏡 The Way Home

When hearts are troubled, Love still knows the road.

On the night before everything changed, Jesus looked at his friends and said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” He did not say this because there was nothing to fear. There was plenty to fear. Betrayal was already moving through the room. Denial was coming. Grief was near. And still, Jesus spoke of trust, of many dwelling places, of a Love spacious enough to hold them all.

This Sunday in Soul Circle, we will enter John 14 not as a locked door or a theological test, but as an invitation into the way of Jesus: the way of embodied Love, truth-telling, mercy, courage, healing, welcome, and life that refuses to be conquered by fear. When Jesus says, “I am the way,” we will listen for the path he has already been walking among us, the road that leads us back to Love, back to God, back to Home.

This is Eastertide brave. Not soft comfort that asks us to pretend. Not easy hope that skips over pain. But the courage to believe that fear is not our final address, that Love has room for our troubled hearts, and that the way home may be closer than we think: under our feet, in our choices, and in the greater works Love is still doing through us.
