Kneeling Where Love Leads

“When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. ”  —Luke 9:51

There are seasons when faith feels like Bethlehem: tender, lit from within, full of wonder and nearness. And then there are seasons when faith asks more of us. The angels thin out. The road darkens. The conversation turns from birth to death, from comfort to courage, from beauty to costly love. Lent is that road.

This Soul Circle draws on the poetry of Ann Weems from Kneeling in Jerusalem, and makes room for the reluctance, ache, tenderness, and truth that often rise as we walk deeper into this season.

Together, we will listen for what the road is asking of us now: where we are resisting, where we are weary, where we are being invited to turn back for the lost, and where love is still leading us, even when the light is poor.

Come as you are. Come thoughtful, tired, uncertain, open – for there is room on the road for the whole of you.

And, God has gone on toward Jerusalem so we do not walk alone.
