“Whoever welcomes you welcomes me.” –Matthew 10:40

Jesus says something surprising in this week’s Gospel. He doesn’t tell us where to go looking for God. He tells us to pay attention to the people who arrive at our door. “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me.” Somehow, Christ is already present in the one being received.

As we come to the close of Pride Month, we’ll reflect on what it means to practice genuine welcome. Not as a slogan. Not as an ideal. But as a way of seeing one another more fully. What makes welcome feel real? How do ordinary acts of kindness become holy? And what might Jesus be asking of us when we meet people whose stories, identities, or experiences stretch our understanding?

Join us for a gentle hour of scripture, silence, music, and conversation as we wonder together: Can the church recognize Jesus when he arrives in the lives and bodies it has too often refused to receive? Come exactly as you are. Bring your questions, your wisdom, and an open heart.
