The Swimmers is a Faith and Film selection chosen in association with Sanctuary’s 2023 IAmMigration Arts and Inspiration Series.
A true story of two Syrian sisters who flee their war-torn home in Damascus and swim for hours in choppy Mediterranean seas to reach Greece as asylum seekers before going on to compete at the Rio Olympic Games on “The Refugee” team.
