The Place of Grace

This week in Soul Circle, we’ll spend time with one of the most startlingly honest passages in all of scripture. In Romans 7, Paul says out loud what so many of us have quietly lived. Whether it’s an old habit, a familiar fear, a broken relationship, or simply becoming the person we long to be, most of us know what it’s like to discover that determination alone isn’t enough.

For many people in recovery, these words are immediately recognizable. Before there is hope, there is honesty. Before there is freedom, there is the moment we stop pretending we can save ourselves. The wisdom of recovery has long named this turning point: I can’t. God can. I think I’ll let God. You don’t need to be in recovery to understand that truth. Anyone who has ever carried something they could not fix already knows the doorway Paul is opening.

Join us as we explore the surprising freedom that comes when we stop trying to earn grace and simply receive it. God does not wait for our best version to arrive. Grace meets us exactly where we are, and from that place, something new becomes possible. Come and hold it!
