Sunday Soul Circle: The Grace of Greening

After Pentecost, the church enters a long stretch of the year called Ordinary Time. It can sound plain, almost forgettable, as if nothing much is happening between the flame of Pentecost and the waiting of Advent. But Ordinary Time is not empty time. It is growing time. It is the green season, when the Spirit that arrived as wind and fire begins the slower work of taking root in us.

This week’s Soul Circle will reflect on the power of the seed growing secretly: scattered into the soil, hidden from view, becoming life “we do not know how.” And, attend to the blessing of holy things that grow slowly, deeply, and often unseen before they ever come into bloom.

Together, we will make space to wonder: What is quietly greening in us? What belief is becoming practice, patience, courage, mercy, or joy? Where is Grace doing its underground work? Gather with us for the gentle companionship of others in this long green season of becoming.
