Charmaine ‘grew-up’ in West Medford and graduated from Newbury College with a BS in Business Administration. These days she lives in Everett with her daughter, Nina who is headed off for her freshman year at Spelman College in Atlanta (this fall). Charmaine works full time at Iggy’s Bread of the World as the Manager of Accounts – and brings more than fifteen years of experience in the field of managing financial systems.
She is a self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented person who consistently meets and exceeds deadlines and priorities. Skilled at multi-taking and maintaining a calm and centered demeanor, Charmaine is an independent problem-solver while also working well as a collaborator and team member. She brings experience with event planning and volunteerism and has been a community leader in her personal life and through volunteerism at many Boston organizations that are near and dear to Sanctuary such as Rosie’s Place, Bread of Life and Boston Cares.
Charmaine will typically be at Sanctuary Tuesday and Thursday afternoon (3:30 pm to 7:00 pm); and Saturday mornings (8:30 am to 12:00 noon). Her responsibilities include issuing and documenting all bill payments and reimbursements, implementing and documenting all revenue/donations and deposits in our accounting and tracking systems, and managing and supporting the purchase of ministry, office and facility materials, tools and subscription.
