iammigration: a lived experience

This gallery installation features a wide-ranging collection of visual art, fabric art, poetry, collage, and music from local artists who have lived the experience of migrating to the United States.

Currently installed and available from Thursday, May 04 through Saturday, July 15, 2023.

The Gallery @ Sanctuary is Open:
  • Thursdays (4 – 6 pm)
  • Saturdays (10 am – 12 noon)
  • Select Sundays (2 – 4 pm); including 5/21, 5/28, 6/11, 6/25
  • and Other Hours by Appointment (c/o <finance@SanctuaryUCC.org>)
  • Ideally, it is best to confirm via this same email address (in case of illness or other conflicts)

Rain or Shine – We have plenty of cover for the outdoor portion of this event.

Plan to stay for a facilitated and interactive event featuring the visual and textile art, spoken word, and music of more than 30 artists!

  • Experience all the art installed at Sanctuary.
  • Hear from the artists directly about how their art expresses their experience of immigration.
  • Enjoy original music, poetry, food, community, and community connection in our outdoor reception space.
  • Reflect together on the impact of this series on you!

Due to the outdoor setting of this event, Virtual Access will not be provided.
