With generous grants from Tufts Community Grants Program, Monogram Foods, and the Medford Melville Trust; and financial support from Pompeo & Sons Insurance, Grace Episcopal Church, Temple Shalom, and numerous other community organizations we can make a difference by making 20,000 prepackaged meals for those in need!
This event will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Tufts University Science and Engineering Complex (200 College Avenue).
The event will include an educational component regarding food security and food systems, community-building dialogue, as well as packing 20,000 servings of shelf-stable, healthy meals to share with our neighbors.
This event is the perfect venue for you to bring your family and friends to join in an unforgettable experience. Through the Outreach Program, this meal packaging event will be a festive, hands-on opportunity to roll up your sleeves, share yourself, and your resources with others. During the event, meals are packaged, sealed, and distributed to those lacking food security. Participants are deeply changed by spending just a few hours to help feed hungry people. Learn about the impact of food security while actively aiding those who struggle with it!
Funds raised are dedicated to the product and packaging expenses. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made below. Medford Cares is a program of Sanctuary UCC a non-profit 501(c) based in Medford.
