Meals4Medford (and Somerville) – Meal Packing Event August 2021

Sanctuary UCC, the Medford Food Security Task Force, Tufts FOCUS Program, Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund, Pompeo & Sons Insurance, Grace Episcopal, Temple Shalom, and numerous other community organization are working together to help feed hungry people in Medford.

*PLEASE NOTE*

Masks will be required regardless of vaccination status and COVID safe practices will be in place. If changes to the plan need to be implemented for safety – registrants will be advised via email and/or SMS text.

The event will include an educational component regarding food security and food systems, community-building dialogue, as well as the practical work which will allow us to share 20,000 services of shelf-stable, healthy meals with our neighbors.

This event is the perfect venue for you to bring your family and friends to join in an unforgettable experience. Through the Outreach Program, this meal packaging event will be a festive, hands-on opportunity to roll up your sleeves, share yourself, and your resources with others. During the event, meals are packaged, sealed, and distributed to those lacking food security. Participants are deeply changed by spending just a few hours to help feed hungry people. Learn about the impact of food security while actively aiding those who struggle with it!

Funds raised are dedicated to the product and packaging expenses. All donations are tax deductible and can be made here.
